Even top Republican strategists are downplaying their expectations. The “throw the bums out” strategy is putting as much light on the obstructionists as it is on the majority. Birther/Secede/Protect The Rich isn’t exactly the best platform they’ve come up with in recent election cycles. God/Guns/Gays was much more effective…and probably their best shot at making any gains.
