They don’t believe they need an excuse. Haven’t had any for the awful conduct so far, why start now?

The cops have surmised that French has been one of the most prolific people on the scene that’s getting info out to the rest of the world on this, so they probably think that by keeping him on ice for at least 24 hours, they have less to worry about.
