Just seen on extended coverage on MSNBC - Chris Hayes in Dallas in an interview he did. Congresswoman Eddie Bernice Johnson (D) from the Congressional District serving the area the shooting took place in Dallas talking about a bill going through the House with some new language about guns in the hands of people with mental issues. She said it is a mild bill but a start and thinks everyone can agree on it both sides of the aisle. And then she had a very interesting take I’ve never heard.

She said: “I hope the NRA releases the Republicans so we can vote on it.”

Heh. Unchain the Republicans from the oppressive NRA. Free their souls so they can do the work of humans.
