And goofy idiots see that and are saying ‘we’ve flattened the curve!’ Except no, the point was not to reach the flat point of the curve. It was to ‘flatten’ it as in stretch it out so the peak never reached this high to begin with. And we failed at that, miserably.

This is just the curve refusing to crest, and that’s not a good sign at all. It means, more than anything, that we probably have more cases that we can’t report because the numbers are limited by testing limits.
