To be fair, Mr. Carter said that Hamas could be trusted not because they are “benevolent” but because of their own “self-interest.” That point can still be debated, but the context for Mr. Carter’s assertion was missing from the blog post here.

And he also said they NEVER violated the cease fire? Defend that one!
