Christians are instructed to pray for wisdom for the leaders of the government, and for those in positions of authority. The idea is that, for better or worse, they govern us all. I’ve heard Protestant ministers pray publicly for the President of the United States. Far fewer prayers for Bush, and many more for Obama!

May the lord bless and keep the czar … far away from us.
