even when “successful”, the whole concept of bain is distasteful, since “success” for them would be making a profit off of the companies that they bought, and has nothing to do with the welfare of the company itself, much less its employees

Bain’s business strategy is a pretty easy one to understand: Invest in a company, drive it into the ground while bleeding it dry, then force it into bankruptcy and sell off the assets. Rinse, lather, repeat.
