Actually, Hillary Clinton was a House Judiciary Committee staffer during the Watergate Hearings. That’s her connection to that scandal, though to be clear she did nothing wrong in that role.

But some on the right wing use it to suggest she was fired for some reason, like her supposed incompetency as a woman lawyer. It’s the old “throw shit till something sticks” tactic.

That said, I had never heard of this connection till just now. So it’s really small potatoes.
