That’s the “derogatory information” the Russians have on him. And yes, it would be serious. It’s a felony. As per Wikipedia regarding the 2002 Prevention of Money Laundering Act, “The act prescribes that any person found guilty of money-laundering shall be punishable with rigorous imprisonment from three years to seven years and where the proceeds of crime involved relate to any offence under paragraph 2 of Part A of the Schedule (Offences under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance Act, 1985), the maximum punishment may extend to 10 years instead of 7 years.”

At the very least, three years in prison would be no walk in the park, that’s for damn sure.

Even if we don’t send him to prison, Civil Asset Forfeiture doesn’t require a conviction. How much would I smile if the federal government were to seize everything that might possibly be related to the accusations?
