Let’s take a look at King David.

If he took a fancy to a married woman… he’d kill her husband, kidnap her from the funeral and rape her. Then announce that because he’d fucked her, that meant she was his wife now.

He collected almost a dozen wives that way. I don’t think any of them were happy about it.
