It’s easy to pile on when you’re being paid for interviews by people who hate the person you’re smearing. As for keeping people in line, I’d just as soon have less “mob bosses” in Washington and more free thinkers.

it’s not so much a matter of being a “mob boss,” but having enough stature and respect within your own circle that nobody would want to do or say anything to harm you. And as much as I like Palin personally, and even think she could be a Senator someday, she is simply not POTUS material.
