Who wants to tell me that cutting taxes on the wealthiest and keeping regional wars off the accounting books is good for the economy?

OK so tell me since the 60’s I have been hearing that war was for profit. (no war for oil etc.) so we got 2 wars going and about to start a 3rd (oh yes we are) why is there no profit? Where is the military industrial complex? Why does war cost money when it was supposed to be for profit?
