That’s a breeching charge, a booby trap, or a suicide charge.

It sounds like it was a pretty big explosion so I’m guessing a booby trap.

That last big blast far larger than any explosion I’m last 30 hours. No idea what caused it.

But I’ve also seen reports that Kenyan military guys entering the mall with RPG’s so it could be that. RPG’s don’t seem like a good choice for an indoor hostage situation but what do I know.
