For those who are getting vaccinated, this is sensible next step. For the antivaxxers, they see this as proof vaccines don’t work, even though most vaccines usually get boosters because immunity wanes over time.

I plan on getting the booster when I’m at my six month point.

The myth that vaccinations are supposed to work for life is largely based on the fact that most of what we’re being vaccinated against are diseases that primarily affect children. By the time we’re adults, we don’t need the extremely high immune response of a fresh vaccination, because the disease has a low probability of affecting us by that point. This is more akin to the seasonal flu, which we DO have a vaccine for, every single year (mostly due to its rapid mutation rate). And there are periodic vaccinations that are supposed to be administered for other things, such as tetanus, on a less frequent basis.
