re: #215 HoosierHoops
Hey, I don’t know if you this story earlier:
Cyrenaica, the eastern Libyan region, announces a bid for semi-autonomy.
Now, apparently, more news I found showed that it wasn’t the region itself, but from a meeting of 4,000 Tribal leaders.
Now, new info has come out:
Ahmed al-Senussi, a relative of Libya’s former king Idris, was announced as the leader of the self-declared Cyrenaica Transitional Council.
Ahmad al Senussi is an illegimate pretender (there is a grandson of the last Libyan King) to the extinct Libyan Throne. Apparently, this seems to be a power grab a some tribal leaders in an attempt to recreate the old Cyrenaican Kingdom, with the illegitimate pretender at its top.
I doubt this movement’s credibility.
