I’ve been around long enough to remember when Elvis burst on the scene. Some people were saying the same kind of bs about rock and/or roll and how it would destroy the moral fiber of young people generally. The wingnuts of the day were convinced that Elvis was a commie who would lead clean-living American youth into heavy petting and Who Knows What.

They were saying that about any music that wasn’t gospel too.
