Did the Justice Department Really "Bad-Mouth" Glenn Greenwald to Muslim Leaders? Uh, Nope.

“eight members of the al-Kaware family were killed after forming a human shield to protect their home”

That sounds like a family hoping for decency from an enemy, not like a government political decision. It was their own home. WWJD? In the same position, my family might try the same thing.

Hamas is the government in Gaza and they endorse the human shield strategy. It does put the Israelis in a tough position. There is video on youtube of an Israeli pilot calling off a strike because of civilians, so it happens. But pilots can’t always see inside buildings and mistakes happen. It cases of stored weapons that does make a civilian building a valid military target. Like I said it’s a tough decision. Do the Israelis have to choose between killing civilians to destroy rockets before they can potentially be launched to kill Israeli civilians? That’s why I’m on the fence about the Israeli warnings to civilians before strikes. If the Palestinians (government or civilians) are using the warnings to increase the civilian death toll it might be best not to give warning. In the case cited at #100, not giving warning could have saved 6 children’s lives. They didn’t choose to die, the adults made that choice for them.
