China is a huge opportunity for all the automakers, Tesla included. It will be interesting to see how they address it.
Especially luxury car makers, but even everyday drivers like Fords and Honda Fits sell well here. Chinese actually look down on their domestic brands as cheap copycats of foreign brands, so driving a foreign marque is a status symbol, no matter what the price level.
Tesla’s problem here is the same in most of America — charging stations.
