And instead of spending time to hunt down criminals who are eligible for deportation, they’re going to go after mothers and grandmothers because they’re easier to find and locate and it makes it easy to pad their numbers.

Under Obama, the deportation focus has been put on to those who are a danger to the community. Trump’s claiming that he’ll focus on criminals (that’s the current focus), but you hit the nail squarely on the head - they’ll fixate on non-criminals to pad the numbers.

It’s far more costly to go after criminals who require deportation than to disrupt families who may be here illegally.
