Back in 2005 I was talking to a gay friend of mine about the parties and asked him what specifically had the democrats done towards working on gay issues he felt earned them his vote.

After a moment of contemplation he said, “nothing.”

I said, “Okay- now in your mind pick another minority group and ask yourself the same question, then the next minority group, and the next. What have they done for those groups?”

After a few moments he again said, “nothing.”

These democratic voters need to wake up to the fact that they are pandered to and then forgotten, taken for granted until the next election cycle. Until they wake up to this fact, they will continue to be surprised every time they discover democrats say one thing then do another.
