Didn’t realize that they were using DU rounds. Depleted Uranium I mean, not Democratic Underground.

They 57mm does use them. The actually penetrator is about 40mm and is finned for stabilization. DU rounds are very bad news for any vehicle they penetrate, because they spawl off pieces that spontaneously combust. Nasty stuff.
