My money says they’re going to drop the charges tomorrow. There’s basically zero chance of prevailing against him in court, protesting is not a violation of criminal law. This shit happens over and over again, cops make mass arrests at a protest but in the chaos are unable to collect any hard evidence or produce any probable cause to justify those arrests.
Ironically it’s the police resistance to wearing body cams that results in the lack of evidence, and the police brutality that causes the protest in the first place. You can trace everything back to the deliberate lack of accountability.
He was arrested and then they picked the charge. I’m surprised they had the guts to go that far. Look how fast they released the other reporters.
