I’m not surprised. Confirmation bias is key. There are millions of Americans who identify as “conservative” who really believe Michael Brown deserved to die. It’s implicit (and sometimes explicit) racism, pure and simple.

Many people I know who identify as “liberal” think this too for one reason or another. It’s frustrating.
