I’m cooking a bunch tomorrow in prep for the camping trip mr. klys and I are taking up to the Sierras this next week, and I should probably get a little more garlic.

It’s a good thing he likes garlic and olives, because otherwise he would hate my cooking. (And mushrooms. And cucumber. And cilantro. And onion.)

It’s always an interesting challenge when my in-laws visit and I get to dance around dietary requirements and quirks that I’m not used to.

Always take fresh garlic and basil when camping. Garlic as a powerful antibiotic - very superior to antibiotic ointments which seal infection in with petroleum - in case of cuts or burns. Fresh basil to bruise and apply to instatly stop the burn and inflammation of insect stings.
