California’s taxophobia is what put it in the mire. Not taxes; the pathological aversion to them. The refusal to pay for the services you demand.

Americans in general want everything taxes can provide except when it comes time to pay them.

The decline and fall of my old empire took centuries. I didn’t live to enjoy or bewail the outcome.

Something tells me this time I’m going to get to see it all for myself.

Should someone be forced to pay for services they dont ask for or wish to take part in? Government should not be a service related industry.
