I’m not a PETA wacko, but there’s just something wrong about putting large and dangerous wild animals on exhibition and expecting them to perform or do tricks for us.

I feel the same way. I think they, we, need to reassess what they’re doing here especially in light of this death. Of course then we’re also talking about circus acts and the common tiger acts. Look at what happened to Roy Horn and of course the animals themselves.

The counter argument is that some of these acts do create a bond between the general population and the animal kingdom. Of course that’s still possible without the tricks and the acts.
