The two sanest possible GOP picks for 2012 at the moment seem to be Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney.

One of them is the brother to the guy who got us into this mess and the other is just as much of a flip flopper the conservative version of John Kerry with marginally more charisma minus a war record.

The GOP seems to have a rather shallow bench for respectable Presidential candidates at the moment.

Personally, I’d vote for Jeb Bush without hesitation. I don’t know if I could vote for Mitt Romney. I’d have to see how he acts on the campaign trail (I’ve always thought of him as the Republican John Kerry too. 04 would happen all over again.)
