I’ve never understood the NRA position that every moment of rage or irritation in America (even if only minor or momentary) needs to be heavily armed.
That really is nuts.
It basically comes down to, “A Real Man (tm) wouldn’t let himself get pushed around. If someone disagrees with you, shoot his ass, that’s the American Man (tm) way.” I have no idea where it came from or why, but that seems to be the gist of it. Being heavily armed and easily provoked have somehow become desirable masculine traits.
