It remains to be seen if Article 50 is ever invoked. I wouldn’t be surprised if it isn’t.

That’s why Cameron, Johnson, and now Farage have bailed. The guy who puts his name to invoking Article 50 will end up occupying the lowest depths of political Hell for the rest of his days. I expect whoever replaces Cameron to hem and haw about invoking for as long as it takes for the polls to shift against, at which time he’ll make a big excuse about “the will of the people” and go with junking the referendum.
