I can’t argue with that. It is one of the disappointments I have with Obama is that he does listen too much to the wingnuts when they demand he meet with BP executives, make speeches and show up for photo ops on the beeches. These are pretty pointless and I doubt he’d be doing them if he wasn’t listening to the wingnuts too much. He should just ignore them.

Obama has shown great interest. I like that but also agree some of it may be unnecessarily so driven by the wingnuts.

I’m concerned with the blowout itself and what seems to me, at least sometimes, our attitude toward it. We have such technology at our disposal and such great confidence in our abilities to do something that’s never been done before, at least to my knowledge. I think we’re sitting on Day 52? What if it exists on Day 152? Or, maybe even Day 752? I’m confident too but just want to see it capped and controlled. Additional proof that yes, we can do anything.
