The fact that The Deplorables are so offended and outraged over fact checking is quite telling. They really are low-information voters.

More to the point it proves that they want, nay, need to be low information voters. They know they’re wrong, because as I’ve said before being wrong is part of their social compact, the IFF shibboleth they use to identify themselves from the other. They’re genuinely frightened and offended by the mere idea that objective facts be made readily available because it increases the difficulty of maintaining the lie.
