I just want players that don’t stick you with a family of semi proprietary formats and a “store” that you have to use to move stuff to and from.

So - errr - I guess “yes” would answer your question.

I really like the RCA Lyra players as I HATE Itunes and all that tagging and reshuffling of my music. I just want to make my own folders then drag and drop my mp3s.

I believe the Creative players also work like a normal disk rather than the proprietery Apple model but perhaps someone can confirm.
