Karzai has been biting the hand that feeds him — made him — for several years now. I get the feeling that he’ll be another “ruler for life” with 95 percent of the vote every time an election comes up in Afghanistan.

To be entirely fair to the guy, I think this is a place when every ruler is a ruler for life. If you step down, you’re dead.
