I just bought a head of butter lettuce, grown hydroponically, with the roots still attached for freshness.

Trying to decide if I can taste a difference.

The great thing about that stuff is that it stays fresh for up to three weeks, if you take care of it. It’s still alive! Unwind the roots and give it a little water.
