Which is why I don’t “agree to disagree” or “just don’t talk about it” with relatives or (ex) friends. I will not ignore the banality of evil.

I watched a liberal friend of mine get into a screaming match (well, a one-sided screaming match; she was very level-headed, the other was not) with her uncle. She refused to yield. It was important to her to get the facts on the record, even though she knew he wasn’t really listening.
