One hallmark of every previous conflict like this, during times of transition due to disruptive technologies, is that the losing side, the more hierarchical one, never thinks the other side will every begin to fight. The Revolution. The Civil War. WW2. So they are always surprised when we do. And we always win because we make better decisions. Mainly because we are organized to use these disruptive technologies properly to make wiser decisions.

You bet there will be a real pushback. No way does he get the White House by cheating. They will be surprised at the lack of passivity this time.

The first shot in this war was Gore v Bush. Trump and his legal acolytes had reason to believe the Federalist Society hacks on the Court would support him too. Yes, Thomas was the only judge who was involved back then, but Roberts, Kavanaugh, and Barrett were all on the Bush team assisting him in ignoring the will of the voters. What can the 3 honest judges do when they are outvoted? No matter how heated their dissent? And the traitors will pull the same stunt as before: crafting the decision and specifying that it only applies in this situation and cannot be used for anything else.

Of course, it is possible the Court will ultimately rule properly and this is only a delaying tactic to help Trump evade the ultimate decision, in their hope that he’s re-elected.
