Which is really the crucial point here.

It’s one thing to criticise Assange and Wikileaks over the cables leak, but it’s something entirely different to get legally creative with “stolen property” claims that would have a tremendous chilling effect on the press if successful.

Similarly, defending everything Assange and Wikileaks have done and criticising the way governments have treated the issue are different issues entirely. The latter doesn’t make one an Assange/Wikileaks “apologist”.
