The secret is, when a politician says “I think that’s for the state to decide, not the federal government” it really means “that’s not a civil liberty you get as an individual citizen, so don’t even be taking it to those Supreme Court hippies.”

And that’s pretty much how all of Crazy Uncle Liberty’s “libertarian” positions wash out.

Ayep, he’s all for “big government,” just so long as it stops at the state line. He’s proudly stated as much on more than one occasion, that he wanted abortion banned, but wants it to be “up to the states.”
