I have to respectfully disagree there. I was hearing DINO actually well before RINO. The moonbats big loathing is the DLC though which they blame for everything they see wrong with the modern Democratic Party.

Albeit had the Democratic Leadership Council never existed, George H. W. Bush might well have won a second term despite it all. In doing so, they conflate 1992 with 2008.

What 1992 was really more like was 1976. The nation felt secure enough from external threat to be willing to elect a Democrat and the Republican incumbent was vulnerable, but it needed to be the right kind of Democrat. Bill Clinton, like Jimmy Carter, was the right kind of Dem: A Southern governor who could run as a centrist.

A left-liberal could not have won in 1992, and any moonbat who thinks otherwise is engaging in dishonest historical revisionism.
