I have a Pittsburgh professional biography that describes my paternal grandfather’s father as a Republican and my dad’s cousin told me my paternal grandmother’s father disliked Truman but he never told me for what reasons. Mom’s grandparents were Eastern European immigrants and pretty radical in that they loved FDR and John L. Lewis.
