The military is one of the few respected institutions in Egypt, and they’ve always wielded power behind the scenes.

You’re right that they’d rather be on the winning side, but they are the ones to help pick winners and losers.

The problem is that they’re more than willing to shred their constitution and laws to do so.

There will be another constitution where that one came from.
