Just heard McCain state he is extremely suspicious of this political proposal, but it would be a big mistake not to look into it and see what can be worked out.

Me, I have no problems with diplomacy. Maybe Putin can come out looking good on this and he and Obama can get on the same page on other things. Also, this whole past month has brought world attention on the Syrian mess like it never had before. Maybe it will fire up the rest of the world to apply more pressure to force Assad out.
