Rathergate is a good test case to see which lefty types remain bound by reality.

IMO it was a case of otherwise accurate reporting on W Bush shirking his TANG duties being blown to smithereens by Rather’s acceptance of obvious forgeries as genuine.

It was a beautiful piece of Karl Rove doing the Machiavellian manipulation thing, and served its purpose of distracting the discussion from how GW Bush dodged his otherwise cushy military duties.
