I still think some large fraction of this country just can’t handle a woman in power.

Mrs. Fish tried to play devil’s advocate once, saying that a Republican might be the first woman President. I can’t seem to get through to her how thoroughly sexist and racist the current Republican Party is. They only chose Sarah Palin to silence the doubters, and it didn’t even work for them anyway. It will be a cold day in hell before a woman, black, Asian, Indian, or anyone other than a rich fat old white guy is on the power ticket for the GOP, unless the whole party is destroyed and rebuilt from the ground up.
