I go more for consonant density in German rather than word length,
Going in the opposite direction, here’s a little word puzzle for you — find a five-letter word in English with four vowels, all different. Slang words are not permitted (so ‘outie’ doesn’t count).
The only example I can think of that fits this requirement is quite a common word, surprisingly enough.
