There’s certainly been a lot of that behavior.

There is a certain appeal to believing these things. It’s almost a belief system; a person can know the facts without ever having to actually face any. It frees them to vent, or feel better about themselves, or whatever. But it’s dangerous. Once you start down the road of self-delusion, it’s hard to get off of it.

And it lacks consistency. I’ve come to stop seeing things as right and left, and now see the visions described by Thomas Sowell. This is the unconstrained vision at work on the right. They are not the conservatives they think they are. They are more akin to those they claim to despise.
