Can I ask— What’s Murray’s argument for reducing its duration? This is an honest request for information; I haven’t read the book and I’m curious.

I’m all for enriching highschool education and I think it’s essential that we do so—I guess I’m just deeply sceptical that we can enrich it *and* cut its duration at the same time.
