Bigots and racists are the same anywhere you go. It’s like one big family of creeps.

But I maintain that the people manning the sandwich and wine stand were quite sympathique. After all, why not? I was kind of expecting my accent to be a tip-off as to my foreignness, but it was clear that they didn’t much care as long as I was the right color.
