You should have mentioned it. It’s one of my favorite gimmicks I stole from a friend in college. If someone is on a racist/antisemitic rant let them go with it. Maybe even egg them on a little bit. Then mention that you’re mom is jewish or you’ve adopted a black child (just make something up to fit the situation) and watch them try to backpeddle out of the rant. It’s hilarious.

My dad once shut down a bigot in the police academy by claiming to be biracial. (He’s not.)
