So, after sitting though 6 hours of this thing, I think it’s easy to see that Trump is the real master of dealing with people. It’s easy to realize why he leads - we already knew that - but there is something else, too. Trump knows how to be a celebrity.

By that I mean, even though he’s not a politician, he knows how to project a personality.

And what strikes me is that he’s not the worst monster of the bunch (who no doubt is Cruz) of the 6 that is left.

The old right wing are correct in claiming that Trump is not a “true conservative”, because by that they mean “true” = them.

Trump is a real populist. He wants to be adored, he wants to hear the clapping, the shouting of his name. Trump’s a populist nationalist. Anyone with a brain (for which Jeb! is still researching) can see that.

What really irks the likes of NRO and RedState and the like is that Trump can use the power of his personality and get more votes than all the sermons of Cruz (in Salem Communications’ world) or magick-word-ladened policy papers of Rubio (in NRO’s world) will ever be able to get.

Put simply, it’s jealousy.

The mouthbreathers complaining about Trump are simply jealous over Trump’s success.

I think Trump is pushing American politics in a dangerous direction, towards facile governance while stepping on the rights of humans everywhere.

Still, Trump is very skilled at people, and that’s going to keep him stomping on the GOP and I will not be surprised if he wins it all.
